I was born and raised in Port Hope. This town isn't a backdrop for me — it's home, and it's where I'm raising my own family.
For the last 15 years, I've worked in private industry at Accenture (one of the world's largest consulting firms). I've spent the last 5 as a Managing Director — working directly with senior executives, government leaders, and complex organizations on large, high-stakes problems that don't have easy answers. I'm comfortable working with senior business leaders, and I know how to break down a complicated issue, ask the basic questions everyone's actually thinking, and explain it in language that makes sense; not jargon.
Concretely, that's meant leading complex, multi-year technology and modernization programs for major Canadian organizations across financial services, public sector, and telecommunications; the kind of work where I've had to stabilize troubled projects under real budget and performance pressure, rebuild stakeholder trust, and find genuine, measurable cost savings without cutting corners on quality. And throughout, I've built and led inclusive, high-performing teams, because the biggest programs only succeed when the people doing the work feel trusted and supported.
Alongside that career, I've spent years doing hands-on work in this community. I serve on the board of Green Wood Coalition, a street-level organization supporting Port Hope residents facing poverty, addiction, and mental illness. I'm also Chair of The Rose Quest, a local charity fighting hygiene poverty in youth and seniors. These aren't ceremonial roles: they're real governance and leadership work, serving people who are often overlooked.

Port Hope faces real, high-stakes decisions in the years ahead, and they affect real people — not just line items on an agenda. I've spent years doing the hands-on work of actually being there for this community, not just talking about it.
I'm not interested in politics for its own sake, and I don't get worked up over procedural wording; I care about outcomes. I want to bring efficiency, agility, and plain-spoken honesty to council, and I want to empower the people who work for this municipality to do their jobs well, without piling on more oversight and micromanagement. I believe in being upfront about where I stand, before anyone has to ask.
I'm running for Ward 1 Councillor because I think Port Hope deserves it, and I'd be honoured to earn your vote this October.

Trust is everything in business, and it's everything in local government too. I've built my career on being upfront with clients and colleagues, and I bring the same instinct to council — with residents and with staff. I'd rather offer information than wait to be asked for it.
Ego gets in the way of owning mistakes — I try not to let it get in mine. If I'm wrong, or I learn something that changes my thinking, I'll say so quickly and explain why, rather than dig in.
I've spent my career learning to prioritize hard problems and get to real results, not just process. That means making real trade-offs, being upfront about why, and staying open to changing course fast when something isn't working.
Agile isn't a buzzword to me. It's a mindset I've used for years to deliver complex work: frequent check-ins, room for people to work independently, and the ability to change course fast. I want to bring that same instinct to how council and staff work together.
Floating on the Ganaraska River, watching the smash-up derby, catching the salmon run at the fish ladder, community events in Memorial Park, late nights at the beach — Port Hope has given me a lifetime of memories, and I'm making new ones with my wife and daughters every year.
Every position in this platform comes back to one thing: wanting Port Hope to be a place my kids, and yours, are proud to grow up in. That's who I'm doing this for.
